When I first saw the title for this book my thoughts were along the lines of “oh boy, another one of ‘those’ books”. The title: ‘beyond willpower-From Stress to Success in 40 Days’ is written by Alexander Loyd, Ph.D., N.D. and states: “The Secret Principle to Achieving Success in Life, Love and Happiness’.

I’m hard pressed to say how many books I’ve started to read that were to help me be more successful as opposed to my usual manically busy, over-stressed, under achieving, highly disorganized life.

Thankfully, before completely passing it by, something in the description of this book caught my attention enough to draw me back to consideration of it. I ordered it and immediately within reading the first pages of the book recognized this was going to be anything but “another one of those books”.

Instead this book have proven to be a fascinating, highly insightful book that delves deep into the makings of someone like me; a woman who has lived over half the average life span frustrated, depressed, and feeling relatively unsuccessful.

However, it doesn’t stop there.

Now that I have a good understanding of how the experiences of my early beginnings served to create the dysfunctions of my life, the author has also provided tools I can utilize; tools to reprogram my internal programming so as to bring healing to the wounds of my past while creating a new internal programming; one that will enable me to find internal peace and live my life with love.

Important to note is that the principles and tools taught in this book are founded in and backed up by science, a fact that leads me to believe it’s solid information I can trust.
